Veterans Recognition Program
Opening-History of the Knights of Columbus-Many of the founding members in 1882 were Civil War veterans.
-Story of Lee Greenwood-2001 Yankee Stadium-Game 4 of World Series. Sang his almost unheard-of song, God Bless the USA. Became our back up national anthem, almost immediately. Certainly, helped the nation to heal or recover from 9/11/2001, by being played in stadiums throughout America. Still part of most NFL pregame activity today. The American flag and the flags/colors from all military services are presented. All attendees stand when this powerful/emotional song is played.
God Bless the USA

Our Thanks and Prayers!
Father, thank you for allowing us to bring together our veterans, their families and friends. Assist us in honoring our veterans and their families always. Let them know we appreciate their service and all of the sacrifices they have made to serve our country. Help us to remember those that gave their lives for our freedom and those that must endure the injuries of war every day. Please keep them safe as we depart tonight and please hold them in the palm of your hand.
In the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Amen
Vivat Jesus!
